If you have your travel sites set on Europe this year and planning to visit several cities, you should put some thought into how you will get around Europe. While most people usually think of rail travel as the primary way to get around Europe, many people are switching to low fare airlines to shuttle between countries in as little as two hours.

While most people get around Europe by train in the past, rail travel has exceeded air fare in many market segments. For instance, if you are planning on traveling from the UK to any country, chances are air fare will be lower than rail. Once in a city, you will be pleasantly surprised that most European cities have excellent public transportation. Whether in Rome, Amsterdam, London or Paris, you can travel very quickly by subway, bus or sometimes tram. Taxis are available, but usually much more expensive than public transportation. In smaller European towns, it is very easy to rent a bicycle and see the sites.
