One of the top tourist destinations in Europe is Munich. Munich is located in the south east part of Germany in the region of Bavaria. Most travelers are delighted by Bavarian culture. Munich is famous for its great beer halls, architecture and art museums. Here are some tips on what to see when in Munich.
Munich is one of the most popular destinations in Germany. Nestled on the edge of the Alps, Munich is a wonderful city that feels like a small town. Munich is famous for its huge beer festival; Oktoberfest. Each late September, tens of thousands of people come to Munich to enjoy some of the finest beer in the world. Beer is served in one liter glasses called a Mas while you sit under a big tent and listen to traditional Bavarian music.
Munich is also famous for its Glockenspiel, which to many is described as a giant Cuckoo Clock. Each hour giant figurines perform many movements in the town square. Munich also has great nightlife and offers an entire complex of night clubs and dance halls. You can visit more than 30 different clubs in one single location. Munich is extremely easy to get to either by train or airplane. Public transportation is very good in this city and you can easily get from one place to another via the subway.
Munich also offers travelers great parks and museums with literally dozens of exhibitions to see each weekend. If you are looking to visit Germany this season, make sure to stop by Munich.
