Rail Passes

Rail Passes

If you are planning on traveling this year to Europe, you might want to look into rail passes. Rail passes are great for travelers that plan on visiting more than one city or country. Rail passes are one of the easiest ways to see all of Europe and are extremely affordable specifically tailored to students. Here are some tips on rail passes.

Rail passes are one of the best ways to travel throughout Europe. Many students take advantage of rail passes. Rail passes come in many types of configurations. Some are based on unlimited travel for a set period of time, while other configurations will allow you a certain amount of trips or cover a specific amount of countries. No matter your travel itinerary, rail passes are possibly the best way to see Europe cheaply and easy.

The best way to save on rail passes is to purchase them before you leave the states. You can save lots of money by buying your rail pass in America before your travel starts. Most rail passes begin when you start your first journey. While most fees are covered with the rail pass, some destinations and trains may charge an additional fee, whether for advance booking, reserving a seat or reserving a bunk for an overnight train.

Most rail passes start at about $200 and can be as much as $1,000 depending on the plan and time allowed for travel. Students that travel with friends usually get the best deals, while adults over 25 that travel alone, usually have to pay the highest fares. No matter what your age or how many people you travel with, rail passes make sense for most travelers.
