Salzburg is only about an hour away from Munich and many people that travel to both Munich and Vienna; decide to make the quick trip to Salzburg. Salzburg has so much to offer for travelers from unbelievable mountain vistas, to the birthplace of Mozart, travelers can spend time hiking, visiting ice caves, enjoying world class symphonies and walking among one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

Salzburg is extremely easy to travel to. You can easily catch a train from both Vienna or Munich or fly into their main airport. Salzburg has all the class and sophistication as Vienna except on a smaller scale. Many travelers visit the beautiful town square and amazing castle that was spared during the war. Salzburg is extremely affordable and has something for everyone from world class hotels to student hostels; you can find accommodations and fantastic cuisine at almost any corner.
