Caribbean Vacation

Enjoy the Natural Beauty of a Caribbean Vacation in the Cayman Islands

You’re barefoot, the waves tickle your ankles as they lap upon the shore. Your heart starts to race as you reach the summit at the end of a 5 mile hike through a rain forest. You wait quietly to catch a glimpse of a tiny white tailed deer. You swim along with a group of stingrays. You catch the glimpse of a rare, exotic parrot. And the air, it’s so fresh, you can’t help but to notice it. What could be more natural – you’re enjoying the best of a Caribbean vacation.

The Cayman Islands Caribbean Vacation Attractions

A British Crown Colony situated almost in the center of the Caribbean, there are three Cayman Islands. The Grand Cayman, sophisticated banking and tourist and vacation destination, and two smaller less developed islands; Little Cayman and Cayman Brac.

When you take a vacation to the Grand Cayman in the Caribbean, you will see a beach called Seven Mile Beach. It is the best known beach in the Caribbean and is actually 5.5 miles long. The beauty of this beach is maintained by the hallmark development policy. None of the over 50 hotels and condominiums that dot the beach rise taller than the casuarinas trees that line the entire stretch of powdery sands.

The Cayman Trench that surrounds Grand Cayman attracts some of the best divers in the world. Known as the diving Capitol of the Caribbean, the main attraction is Stingray City, where friendly stingrays are accessible in only 3 to 12 feet of water. The shallow water means that you don’t have to be a certified diver to enjoy it. You simply just grab a snorkel and dive in.

Another great attraction for your vacation is the exotic 180 acre Brac Parrot Reserve on Cayman Brac, or the Booby Pond Nature Reserve on Little Cayman. Both are important reserves for birdlife and are as breathtaking as they are vital.

The Grand Caymans capitol, George Town, is widely known as the shoppers paradise, with goods offered “tax-free”. Further exploration uncovers a wonderful combination of British sophistication and West Indies charm. You don’t want to miss this charming town while on vacation.

Curacaos Caribbean Jewel to Consider

Just off the northern coast of Venezuela you alight on one of the jewels of the Caribbean, the dazzling island of Curacao.

A vacation for sun lovers, this is paradise. Any one of the Curacao’s 38 beaches, from large strands of small secluded sun-traps, is sure to make for a fantastic day out. But if there is more on your agenda than lying around, you can try windsurfing, water skiing, fishing, or relax with a round of golf.

On the northern side of the island, of special note to Eco-tourists, is the 4,500 acre Sint Cristoffell National Park, comprised of three former plantations. You’ll travel through incredible countryside dotted with spectacular cactus to reach the highest point in the Leewards at 1,220 feet. Once at the park, start at the museum on the grounds of the Landhuis Savonet estate and learn about the island’s geology, flora, and fauna found no where else in the Caribbean.

If you’ve dreamed of really “getting away from it all” the Caribbean vacation just might be the answer your looking for. With the natural beauty of these islands, you can have a vacation in paradise that will be remembered for a life time.
